I am a sports writer and online community manager for The Union in Grass Valley, Calif. I’m a graduate of California State University, Chico and I’ve been writing for newspapers the last six years and blogging for the last four.

My favorite teams/colleges/players/drivers right now (some are more permanent than others):

What can I say? I’m a hometown guy and I love people with enthusiasm. Never went to Cal, but I always thought I might end up there. Still might. (Sign me up, coach!)

    Any news on Erik Flores 2005 NUHS grad? Did he graduate in June, will he be a 5th year senior with UCLA Golf for the 2009-10 season or move on to try to get qualified with the PGA Nationwide Tour?
